What is Food Trip Dumaguete?

The Team

The journey of FTD begins when two childhood friends decide to follow their dreams.

Aside from being born and raised in the City of gentle people, these two friends have another thing in common. This was their love for the city they call home and the passion to run after fun and adventure, indulge in sumptuous food, capture moments together and tell stories for the whole world to read.

They are a mighty team of bloggers and writers who also have day jobs to pay their bills. One is a dentist for a renowned university. The other one is a law student and former HR executive of a BPO. They are joined by three other friends, a photographer, a graphic designer, and a food & fashion blogger.

The Dream

FTD is all about three things:

Delicious FOOD, fun and exciting TRIPs, and everything you need to know about DUMAGUETE.

Just like any other Filipino, Dumaguetenos love to eat. Every month, a new restaurant or food joint opens in this wonderful university town. Most families here bond over meals and celebrate important milestones in life in restaurants. For FTD, they want to be able to showcase all the mouthwatering cuisines Dumaguete can offer. Whether it’s a new fancy resto opening in town, or a tocinohan / eatery, they want you to know about it.

Aside from this, they also want to take you on a trip towards discovering the places to be when you are in town. They want to share the sights and sounds of this laid back yet modern and techie place. It’s only in Dumaguete where you get the best of both worlds because dynamic urban living is fused with the mellow rural lifestyle.

And lastly, Dumaguete has already been known for so many things, such as being the City of Gentle People, the University Town, the Motorcycle Capital of the Philippines, home of the National Writer’s Workshop, the best place to Retire and more. But, as it has become a melting pot of different races and cultures, FTD wishes to continue to uphold its identity and unite Dumaguetenos here, near and far to be proud that they come from this small yet mighty, intelligent, God centered, peaceful, and awesome city.

  1. Awesome blog indeed! I hope you also review other amenities like if they have free wifi or not and how good is it? Do they offer deliveries or not? etc…
