Earthday Jam: Rocking Out For Mother Earth 15 Years Strong

Prepare yourself for a talent-packed marathon of music and advocacy as the country’s biggest and longest running concert is set for its Visayan leg on August 20, 2015 at Dumaguete City’s Rizal Boulevard Strip. Earthday Jam has been a platform by concerned artists, government, and private entities towards educating and encouraging the Filipinos to do their fair share in the global fight to save the planet. This year marks the 15th anniversary of Earthday Jam Foundation’s relentless campaign for environmental care and conscious awareness.

Starting at 3 PM, exhibits and recycling booths by supporting NGOs and volunteer youth groups will be open to the public. Lectures on awareness will be done by speakers and advocates from different environmental institutions. Apart from this, citations will also be given out to several Negrense Environmental Heroes who have been instrumental to the ongoing campaign for the preservation of our planet and its resources. At 5 PM, the guitar-strumming, drum-beating, Mother Earth-loving ambassadors will be taking the stage for a night of unity through music.

The main event will feature 5 big names in the Philippine music industry. These artists are Brownman Revival, Parokya ni Edgar, Rocksteddy, Rivermaya, and none other than the rock singer, President and executive producer of the Earthday Jam Foundation, Lou Bonnevie. Homegrown talents like Banda Mangga, Skillage, Odd, Five Volts, and Take Two will also be performing for this cause.

So hit the Rizal Boulevard Strip on August 20 and rock out to the cleanest and greenest street party Dumaguete City has ever seen for the cause of Mother Earth. For more information, visit Earthday Jam Foundation’s Facebook page.
