Upon entering this cafe along EJ Blanco Drive, Piapi, you’ll be mesmerized with a unique Victorian accent and a bit of rodeo action on the side. There’s always a new antique furniture to discover, a new piece of art to gush over, and a new story to discover in every angle you look inside the cafe. They also have private function rooms for a more intimate experience when dining at Cafe Madeleine. And just when you think the fun stops there, they also have an internet cafe within the cafe.

Cafe Racer Goes Full Throttle in Dumaguete

Good food, good beats, and a good time – three things that describe the grand opening of the City of Gentle People’s newest and hippest hangout. Café Racer Dumaguete opened its doors last July 28, 2016. It is the second branch, the flagship restaurant being in North Reclamation Area, Mandaue City, Cebu. Its jampacked opening night was attended by family, friends, and guests of owner Inaki Yoldi as well as other dining patrons while DJ Arno Van Zanten of Amsterdam delivered the tunes.

Andy’s Golden Grill: Swiss Chef Strikes Culinary Gold

Much has been said about Chef Andy Hunziker and his food. He started out a small garden grill restaurant in Cebu City back in the late 80s and gained quite the local following. Years later, the chef made his way to a new home here in Dumaguete City. The space is called Andy’s Golden Grill, which has much of his dishes from his old menu and a few new ones as well. I’ve heard friends say that his dishes were worth the trip to its location at Senor Sto. Nino Drive, Mangnao, so we decided to check it out ourselves.

Mamita’s Diner: Lechon at its Best

 
Cebu’s boneless lechon belly, the Philippines’ answer to Italy’s porchetta, was conceptualized by Mr. Marlon Gochan in 2011. Similarly prepared, the belly is deboned, stuffed with spices and herbs, and then slow-roasted over a charcoal fire. Today, the lechon belly experience is no longer limited to Cebu; Dumaguetenos can now enjoy pork prepared in the Queen City of the South’s signature style.
